I have always believed that our surroundings shape how we feel. Design has never been about trends or filling a room with things. It is about creating spaces that feel calm, personal, and lived in. I started this business because I love helping people feel more at home in their homes, and I also design and maintain short-term rentals that have developed loyal followings because of their design, comfort, and thoughtful attention to detail.

My style leans toward timeless and comfortable. I love working with layered textures, soft tones, and meaningful details. Every piece has a purpose, and every room has a feeling. Most of all, I care about the people behind the spaces. Each project is a collaboration, and I am always grateful when someone trusts me with their home.

Lead Designer - Dayna Mckinney
As the founder and lead designer behind Stay by Day, I approach every project with a blend of intuition, intention, and heart. I believe good design starts with listening, understanding how people live, what they love, and how they want to feel in their home. My goal is to create spaces that feel refined yet inviting, layered with texture, warmth, and personality.

With a background rooted in both creativity and practicality, I focus on interiors that are beautiful, functional, and thoughtful. Alongside residential design, I also bring years of hands-on experience creating and maintaining successful short-term rentals, which has sharpened my eye for comfort, flow, and how a space photographs.
